Added to over many years, this old house was a jumble of structure, dark spaces and low ceilings that required major rationalising both structurally and spatially.

The footprint of the house was essentially retained but with walls remove, slabs opened up, the roof raised and a green courtyard sliced through, the house has been transformed into a light spacious ‘tropical’ dwelling with wide covered external decks for outdoor living with the garden running right through – hence the house name. The connection to the garden is strengthened & the previously concealed stunning views opened up.
